Roaster Pig Workshop

Our first Roaster Pig Workshop brought together local families interested in learning traditional roasting techniques, pig selection, preparation, and cooking methods.

Future workshops will continue to expand on practical farming, livestock, and food education topics.

Homeschool group called The Next visiting Dos Lobos Ranch in Decatur, Texas
A local homeschool group from April 2026 called "The Nest" visited Dos Lobos Ranch for an interactive tour about regenerative agriculture and got to experience fun animal interactions such as petting piglets and feeding goats. It was a great way to connect the future generation with local food!
Roaster Pig Workshops at Dos Lobos Ranch in Decatur, Texas
Our first Roaster Pig Workshop from May 23, 2026 where about 12 attendees learned how to process their own roaster pig from start to finish including dispatch, scald and scrape, cut and dress.

We raise pasture-raised Kunekune pork and grass-finished Dexter beef using rotational grazing and soil-building practices that prioritize animal welfare, land stewardship, and nutrient-dense food production.
